
Delhi Public School, Gurgaon organized an enriching and memorable educational trip to Europe for students of classes VIII to XII from 7th June to 17th June 2025. It was a journey filled with excitement, discovery, and unique learning experiences across France, Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland.
The trip began in the beautiful city of Paris, where students soaked in the charm of iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and the Opera House. A hands-on session at Fragonard, one of the oldest perfumeries in the world, introduced them to the fascinating history and art of perfume-making. The group also enjoyed a relaxing cruise along the Seine River, taking in the city’s grandeur from the water.
A full day at Disneyland Paris brought out the child in everyone. From thrilling rides and magical parades to meeting beloved characters and witnessing the dazzling Light & Sound show, the day was truly unforgettable. Traveling by metro and navigating the park together made it all the more special.
The journey then moved on to Belgium, where students visited the Euro Space Centre. Here, they engaged in simulations of astronaut experiences and even designed and launched their own rockets—an experience that blended fun with deep learning. At Mini Europe, the students made presentations on the famous monuments and landmarks of Europe in the backdrop of miniatures of these wonders of Europe displayed in the park.
In Germany, the focus shifted to technology and innovation with a visit to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. Through a guided tour of the Museum, students got a deeper understanding of the evolution of automobile engineering. Some leisure time at the Palace Square added a cultural flavour to the day.
Nature and tradition came alive as the group explored the Black Forest region in Titisee Village, with its world-famous cuckoo clocks enroute to Switzerland. The scenic drive to Switzerland set the tone for the final leg of the trip.
An exhilarating boat ride at the Rhine Falls, the largest waterfall in Europe added a rush of adventure. In Switzerland, the breathtaking experience at the scenic, Mt. Titlis with its cable cars , Cliff walk and the Ice Flyer ride was a clear favourite. The picturesque town of Lucerne offered the perfect setting for souvenir shopping. One of the sweetest highlights was the chocolate-making workshop in Zurich, where students crafted their very own Swiss chocolates to take home.
From exploring historical cities and modern museums to connecting with nature and participating in hands-on activities, this trip offered a perfect blend of learning and leisure. It wasn’t just a travel experience—it was an opportunity for students to grow, bond, see the world through new eyes and make memories to cherish forever.
