Danish Immersive Exchange Programme

“Simple exchanges can break walls down between us for when people come together and speak to one another and share a common experience then their common humanity is revealed.”

Delhi Public School, Gurgaon has joined hands with Aalborg Katedral Skole, Denmark for a Research-Based Exchange Programme. 21 students from each of the schools are fortunate to be a part of this exchange.

As a first step towards the programme, three teachers of the Danish school, accompanied by Mr Anshul Jain - Director, Nordic Consult Group India, visited the school in September 2022 for an orientation programme. The Danish teachers interacted with the Director Principal, MS Aditi Misra, faculty, and students of our school who are a part of the exchange programme.

In the first leg of the exchange program two online exchange presentations were conducted in November 2022. In the first online session Danish and Indian students met each other for the first time. Students from both countries introduced themselves to their counterparts through PPTs about themselves, their families, their hobbies etc.

The Indian and Danish students embarked upon phase one of the project by corresponding and collaborating with their respective partners through emails and online meets to prepare for the project unveiling day. Working in groups of four, students excitedly researched on the Indian and Danish monuments and showcased their presentations on 25th November 2022. The students presented the famed monuments of their partner countries by discussing the history, the magnificent architecture, and the relevance of these monuments in today’s times. Ranging from pillars of Hampi to the Mill of Dybbøl, Chittorgarh Fort to Lindholm Høje, Ajanta Elora Caves to The Little Mermaid, all these captivating sites helped the students to understand and appreciate the diverse culture of these of the two countries.

Our students are now looking forward to welcoming their Danish partners to India and at the same time excited to visit Aalborg, Denmark in 2023.
