Online Exchange Programme – 2023
Languages are windows to different cultures, allowing us to connect with others from around the world. Each language encourages us to embrace new customs and cultural nuances.
To help the students understand the world from a new perspective and understand the culture of the two countries by exchanging a few interesting activities, Delhi Public School, Gurgaon and Escola Francesc Macià, Primary School in Vilassar de Dalt, Barcelona, Spain had commenced an online exchange programme in the year 2023 for the students of class IV and V.
• We received the videos of Spanish students from Barcelona introducing themselves. They talked about their daily routine and gave us a virtual tour of their school. Our students also created a similar video, entirely in Spanish. The links showing the introduction of the students from Escola Francesc Macià and DPS Gurgaon are shared below:
• Our students celebrated ‘The Day of the Dead’, a colourful and lively Mexican festival, in the month of November. The students beautifully presented the significance of this festival through a captivating skit and a melodious song. The link sharing a glimpse of a fun-filled day is shared below:
• We received videos and beautiful presentations by the students of Spain, about their traditions and festivals, such as ‘The Tío Tradition’ and ‘The Castellers’, during the months of December and January. The link sent by the students from Escola Francesc Macià is shared below:

• The programme concluded with exchanging of foot tapping dance performances by all the students. The students of Spain presented a beautiful ‘Sardana’ dance performance, a very famous Catalan dance form. On the other hand, students of DPS Gurgaon danced on Bollywood songs with joy and zeal.
