German Workshop Report

A six-day International German Teachers' Conference - IDT 2022, was organised in Vienna, Austria from 15th to 20th August 2022. Ms Parwanda, HOD German language, DPS, Sec-45, Gurgaon, who was offered a scholarship by Goethe Institute, New Delhi, was invited to present a paper on the topic- ‘Art Integrated Learning in German Language Curriculum in Indian Schools’. The conference was attended by 2500 German teachers across the globe.

This international platform was a melting pot of German language experts where they discussed, deliberated and shared ideas and innovations in the field of teaching the German language along with finding solutions for new challenges faced.

Ms Parwanda spoke about innovative methods adopted by CBSE in which various art forms are integrated with German classes as an integral part of the curriculum to make the learning and teaching process experiential. Her paper was well-received by the audience.

The conference provided a premier interdisciplinary platform for researchers and educators working together as a community to shape the future of foreign language teaching. Workshops, lectures, podium discussions, cultural activities, presentations by the publishers and exhibitions by various language institutions made the conference a joyful learning experience for all.
