Exchange Programme
21st May’18 to 3rd June’18
Delhi Public School, Gurgaon successfully completed the second leg of the fourth rhythm of the cultural exchange program with its Polish partner school, VIII Prywatne Akdemickie Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace, IB World school in Krakow, Poland.
This year saw 14 DPS students visit VIII PALO from 21st May'18 to 3rd June'18.They were escorted by their teachers Ms. Sapna Dhawan and Ms. Shaifali Bhatt. The Indian students were hosted by their Polish counterparts. The exchange was an enriching experience for students, their parents and the accompanying teachers. The two week long itinerary included the visit to the Schnidler's Museum, Kazimierz and the Jewish Ghettos, the Auschwitz Birkenau Museum, the summer and winter resort Zakopane, the historic capital-Warsaw, the Amber museum at Gdansk and the Baltic Sea. The fun filled activities like trekking at Zakopane, the roller coaster ride, amber hunting at the beach and the celebration of India Day at VIII PALO helped strengthen the bonds of friendship between the students.
To culminate the exchange, an Indo-Polish cultural event was organised on June 1,2018 by our polish partners. The programme commenced with the Indian and Polish anthems sung by the students of both the countries. Principal, Mr. Jerzy Waligora, expressed joy at the success of the exchange. He acknowledged the efforts of the Principal, Ms. Aditi Misra for her support in making the exchange fruitful and thanked the parents for being supportive. The wonderful time spent together was brought to light through heartwarming experiences shared by students, parents and teachers from both the countries. Presentations capturing a kaleidoscope of events spoke volumes about the unforgettable moments spent together in Poland. It was indeed a day to remember, with strong bonds of everlasting friendship and a promise to meet again in future.
