September 4th to 9th , Almaty, Kazakhstan.
UNESCO Clubs of the Asian countries organized the festival ‘Children are painting the World, Asia’ to celebrate 1000th anniversary of Almaty city. The objective of this Art festival was to strengthen the friendly relations and cultural ties between young generations of the participating countries.
Aarya Yadav of class X and Venya Agarwal of class VIII emerged as the two winners at the International level. They were invited to represent India at the Gala Award Ceremony held at Almaty from 4th-9th September 2016. They were presented a DIPLOMA and an Album on ‘Children are painting the World, Asia’.
At Almaty, Team India interacted with winners of the other participating countries. They enthusiastically attended cultural parties, flash mobs, interactive training sessions, master classes on visual communications and demonstrations by experts in the sphere of visual arts.
UNESCO honoured DPS Gurgaon and the mentor teacher Ms. Madhumita Nandi, Head of Department, Art with Certificate of Appreciation for fostering creative and communicative abilities of children.
