Delhi Public School, Gurgaon and Escola Francesc Macià, Primary School in Vilassar de Dalt, Barcelona, Spain had commenced an online exchange programme in the year 2017 for the students of class V. The aim was to help students to become aware of the culture of the two countries by exchanging a few interesting activities.

• We received the videos of Spanish students from Barcelona introducing themselves. The link showing the introduction of the students from Escola Francesc Macià is shared below:

• Our students made a visually captivating presentation on ‘Festivals of India’ capturing the essence of our festivals. Our students were shown the festivals celebrated in Spain like Chestnut, New Year’s Eve and 3 Old Wishes.

• The recipes were exchanged of both the countries and thus enabling them to learn more about each other’s traditional food. Our students learnt traditional recipes like Tortilla de Patatas and burritos to name a few.The link showing the recipes of the students from Escola Francesc Macià is shared below:

• The programme concluded with exchanging of songs and our students sang Catalan song “En Juan Petit” with joy and zeal. The exchange was a unique learning opportunity. The links given below are showing the songs sung by Delhi Public School students:
